Shelia Cherfilus-Mccormick indicted

South Florida Haitian congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick has been indicted. Congressional Black Caucus(Opens in a new browser tab).She is charged with stealing federal disaster funds. She is also accused of laundering the proceeds and using the money to fund her 2021 Congressional campaign. Congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick’s family’s health-care company allegedly received a FEMA-funded COVID-19 overpayment. The amount of the overpayment was $5 million in July 2021. This overpayment was not returned. It is alleged that Congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick conspired to steal the $5 million. She routed the money through multiple sources to disguise the source. Congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick filed a false tax return in 2021.

Whether true or not, the optics are not becoming of a congresswoman. Black Politicians(Opens in a new browser tab). We are starting to see extremely illegal and shady behavior from politicians of Caribbean and African descent (Cherfilus-McCormick, Ilhan Omar, Yvette Clark, etc. ). Is there something wrong with the way immigrant politicians believe that the nation’s business should be conducted? I think it is time that Black America removes these immigrant politicians from office and restores American dignity. Check me out:
