South Florida Haitian congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick has been indicted and charged with stealing federal disaster funds, laundering the proceeds, and using the money to fund her 2021 Congressional campaign. It is alleged that Congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick’s family’s health-care company received a FEMA-funded COVID-19 overpayment of $5 million in July 2021, which was not returned. It is alleged that Congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick conspired to steal the $5 million by routing the money through multiple sources to disguise the source. Congresswoman Shelia Cherfilus-McCormick filed a false tax return in 2021.
Whether true or not, the optics are not becoming of a congresswoman. We are starting to see extremely illegal and shady behavior from politicians of Caribbean and African descent (Cherfilus-McCormick, Ilhan Omar, Yvette Clark, etc. ). Is there something wrong with the way immigrant politicians believe that the nation’s business should be conducted? I think it is time that Black America removes these immigrant politicians from office and restores American dignity. Check me out:
